Words from a youth member
"REALife is a place where I go to get away from all the pressure of everyday. It gives me time to get from all the drama of school, the drama from home, and lets immerse myself in an environment that is saturated with love and just the true embrace of God. It’s a place where I can fully pursue a relationship with God, while my peers do the same thing. We are all basically a family. We hang out together, we go on crazy trips, and we always have fun right after youth on friday nights. We have so much fun beating each other at Street Fighter or Dance Dance Revolution. When we go on a bunch of really great retreats and, when we have our parties, we have a great time joking around and goofing off. Basically, REALife is our dominion: the teens rule. It’s a place made by us, for us. Most of our ministries, such as worship, are run by graduated youth members. The other cool part about youth is that all the adults are basically like over sized teenagers. They supervise our craziness and sometimes even join in. REALife means a lot to all of us. We each have our own reasons to be there. Whether it's worshipping, playing video games, eating some amesome food every Friday night, or just wanting to be part of the fellowship of our peers and in the pressence of our amazing God, we all have our own story as to why we're at youth.
